PLEASE COMMENT ON DRAFT EUSBSR FLAGSHIP APPLICATION!

eusbsr_303148SUBMARINER is continuing its initiative to apply for flagship status under the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). Partners are requested to comment on the draft finance and activity plan ("Initial strategy for a new proposed flagship in the EU BSR strategy") by 15 August 2012. The paper was sent around by the LP in the last week of June and can be downloaded from the WP5 page of our project website's partner section.
During the second half of August, it shall be discussed with the Swedish Priority Area Coordinator (PAC) for Priority Area 7 – "Research and innovation" whether the chances of being approved are higher when applying as a separate flagship or when being a project under the existing BSR Stars flagship.
The LP is currently preparing a tender for services related to the establishment and active promotion of the SUBMARINER network as well as the initial running of the network secretariat. PSC members are reminded that no response to the LP's request for approval by 15 August 2012 will be regarded as approval for the LP to launch this tender.

FLC SITUATION IN POLAND

The LP was informed that the Polish FLC has withheld the certification of all reports from Polish partners participating in Baltic Sea Region and other ETC projects. The reason is lack of funds for conducting the certification process. It is anticipated that the problem will be solved soon, yet the exact date is unknown. Unfortunately, this situation postpones the submission of the third progress report. The JTS has already postponed the deadline for SUBMARINER to 30 September 2012. The LP will undertake all possible efforts to make sure that our third report is quickly proceeded once it will be possible. All partners that have not yet submitted their FLC documents for the third report to EPCO are kindly reminded to do so as soon as possible, not later than 1 August 2012.
