pic_zoo

The Municipality of Trelleborg and SUBMARINER hosted an Algae Cooperation Event on the present and potential future uses of algae. The event was held in Trelleborg, Sweden on September 28th and 29th, 2011 and was a great success!

Over 150 participants from the Baltic Sea Region as well as visitors from as far away as China, Scotland or Italy joined in for two days of exciting presentations ranging from macro- to micro-algae, from harvest to cultivation, and from algae muffins to biogas and biofuel! A poster and exhibits session was also held, along with a lively panel discussion with representatives from public authorities and private companies and a study tour of Trelleborg's algae highlights.
