Cultivation and processing possibilities of micro- and macroalgae in the Baltic Sea Region

Environmental Development Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development organised the conference “Cultivation and processing possibilities of micro- and macroalgae in the Baltic Sea Region” on May 28, 2013 in Liepaja, Latvia.
The aim of the conference was to inform about innovative technologies and application of practices for sustainable use of micro- and macroalgae as well as to promote cultivation and processing possibilities, since the novel technologies and growing knowledge provide opportunities for new uses, which can be both commercially appealing and environmentally friendly. The event engaged national key representatives, invited experts and related stakeholders in the field to share their experiences and knowledge raising a professional dialog between science and business integration, and cooperation.
