Organisation Background

The Division of Molecular Oncology, Institute for Experimental Cancer Research at the Comprehensive Cancer Center North is a facility of the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel. The work is focused on the investigation of mechanistic principles of formation, metastasis and apoptosis of tumors. Of particular interest are the establishment of novel adjuvant therapy modalities in pre-clinical model systems.

Marine Biotechnology projects:
In a current BMBF funded cooperation project with several companies and research institutes the impact of marine natural compounds on tumor progression is investigated.
