Organisation Background

MTT Agrifood Research Finland is leading research institute developing sustainability and competitiveness of the food system. We conduct research within eight research programmes permeating the entire organisation. The programme-based approach enables genuine multidisciplinary research, which is a requirement for efficient problem-solving. Operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, MTT employs around 750 people at 15 locations across Finland. Our head office is situated at Jokioinen, a 1.5-hour drive from Helsinki.
